Mechanical watches are composed of hundreds of parts, many of which are tiny, and all of which function as part of an intricate system that turns the raw energy of an uncoiling spring into a measured outflow of time. http://gevrilgroup.com/watchrepair/mechanical-watch-maintenance/
I love to review new Casio G-Shock watches and today I’d like to share with you the excellent GW9400 Rangeman. Clearly I don’t cover each new G-Shock model, but I make it a point to notice the best new pieces from Casio that continue to offer more of what we love in what is arguably the world’s most useful collection of timepieces. http://www.ablogtowatch.com/casio-gw9400-rangeman-watch-review-best-g-shock-today/

What could be more inspiring than being in constant contact with the Moon? With its visible portion of the night sky on the dial, the watch LUC Lunar Big Date is a vivid reminder of the enduring ties between our time and the sky above us. http://lemontretourbillon.wordpress.com/2014/06/19/l-u-c-lunar-big-date-by-chopard/
It won’t be the first time we say it: buying vintage watches can be risky. If the trustworthiness of the seller has already been established, one’s attention has to be turned toward the authenticity of the watch itself. http://monochrome-watches.com/vacheron-constantin-vintage-chronograph-4072-hands-on/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+monochrome%2FBwOB+%28Monochrome.nl%29
Okay, so retro-styled watches are hardly anything new in today’s watch market, but I’m not complaining. While the later half of the “noughties” was all about oversized and overdesigned watches, so far this decade has proven to be a “back to basics” one, where less is more. http://www.thehorophile.com/watches/longines-heritage-1935/
After the Omega Speedmaster Professional won the race to the Moon in 1969, Omega thought it was time to come up with a watch that perhaps was a bit more up-to-date and ready for the 1970s. http://www.fratellowatches.com/omega-speedmaster-mark-ii/
Bell & Ross owes much of their place on the watch landscape to the distinctive and long-standing design of their BR 03 series. With an instantly-recognizable square case shape and circular instrument-inspired dial design, the BR 03 is a watch that most enthusiasts could pick out from across a room. http://www.ablogtowatch.com/bell-ross-br-03-golden-heritage-watches/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+Ablogtowatch+%28ABLOGTOWATCH%29
Usually, when we write reviews, they are for watches that the brands lend to us. But here, let me be a bit more personal as I will write about one of my own watches. I’ve had this Breguet Type XX for more than 5 years now and I love it http://monochrome-watches.com/breguet-type-xx-5-years-wrist/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+monochrome%2FBwOB+%28Monochrome.nl%29

Dedicated to women’s watch from the beginning the Italian house dabbled with great success in 2010 in the men’s watch. http://lemontretourbillon.wordpress.com/2014/06/20/forza-ii-by-bertolucci/
The Rolex Day-Date, launched in 1956 and touted by Rolex as the first chronometer wristwatch to spell out both the date and day of the week on its dial, has throughout its long history been available only in gold cases. That tradition continues with five models launched in 2013, which have either an 18k yellow gold, 18k white gold, or 18k Everose gold case and are available in different dial-strap combos. http://www.watchtime.com/wristwatch-industry-news/watches/rolex-expands-palette-rolex-day-dates-colors/

Orchestrated by Brino Moutarlier, alongside Jean-François Mojon and his Chronode SA team, a mechanical movement is situated in the upper part of the watch, and propels a cam, which pushes the piston and activates the bellows. - See more at: http://watchmobile7.com/articles/hyt-h1-alumen-blue#sthash.zsLjB2QA.dpuf

One of the most significant watches of 2013 was Urwerk’s EMC. And it’s no wonder why, as it features an integrated optical timing sensor, on-board generator, fold-out winding handle (to power the optical timing sensor), precision delta indication, and on the back a user-friendly timing adjustment screw. As if that’s not enough, EMC also happens to have Urwerk’s first in-house movement. http://quillandpad.com/2014/01/03/the-difference-between-urwerks-emc-and-a-toyota-prius-not-as-obvious-as-you-may-think/
For the inauguration of the new Moscow Boutique, Vacheron Constantin created an exceptional limited edition timepiece equipped with a tourbillon, a perpetual calendar, an equation of time as well as sunrise and sunset times for the city of Moscow: the Traditionnelle Calibre 2253 Moscow Boutique. http://www.timeandwatches.com/2014/06/vacheron-constantin-traditionnelle.html
