The massive 50 mm case is made of wootz which in terms of its characteristics closely resembles Damascus steel which is used for swords and knife blades. To keep up with this extraordinary design the hours and minutes are also indicated in an unusual way – with the help of a semi-circle scale and instead of hour and minute hands there is a little moving sun and a little moving moon while the seconds are shown by a sub-dial at 6 o’clock.
