IWC Ingenieur Dual Time. The Ingenieur is one of IWC’s most iconic watch families. Originally conceived in the 1950s as an anti-magnetic timepiece for scientists and engineers, it has become the brand’s most masculine and capable sports watches. Distinguished by its angular case and integrated strap, the Ingenieur’s design dates to the 1970s from the pen of famous watch designer, Gerald Genta, who also designed Patek Philippe’s Nautilus and Audemars Piguet’s Royal Oak.
