De Bethune is one of the best, when it comes to poetic executions of classic complications. Their latest offering is the DB 16 Tourbillon Regulator. It takes time keeping to astronomical heights by integrating a perpetual calendar in their signature three-dimensional moon-phase terrene with a retrograde setting scale, as well as their brilliant movement architecture and deadbeat seconds. The DB16 utilizes an architecture which makes their movements just as beautiful as the dial-sides of their watches. There is also a De Bethune signature, the lightweight silicon and titanium tourbillon weighing a mere 18 grams, and features a 30-second indicator around it. The dial looks like an artistic work where the charismatic moon-phase takes the centre-stage at 12 o'clock, while the date indicator balances out at 6 o'clock. A amalgamate of colours with blued hands and subtle perpetual calendar windows at 3 and 9 o'clock makes the dial elegant and classy. The Roman numerals for the hour markers and train track minutes indicators with Arabic numerals every five minutes are very rare. And 43mm pink gold case with the De Bethune cone-shaped lugs are a perfect finishing touch. Price – USD 380,000.
