I’ve always felt sorry for left-handed people. Most things in life are just the wrong way round for them. Writing, for starters. Knives and forks. Sport. Seriously. There’s something odd about sport played left-handed. Worse than that, so I read, is that while lefties account for 10 per cent of the world’s population, they account for 20 per cent of its schizophrenics.
